Devil's Casino
We have prepared the first of a series of iPad-optimized books powered by Adobe Digital Publishing Suite. The publication is "Devil's Casino" by Vicky Ward – a narrative describing the last months of Lehman Brothers – the fourth biggest American investment bank.
Kurhaus Publishing is one of the first Polish publishers who decided to depart from traditional e-book structure and develop an interactive book app.
The entire process of creating a tablet-optimized publication – from mock-up to the very application and uploading thereof to App Store was facilitated by the use of Adobe InDesign and Adobe Digital Publishing Suite. The book app has been enriched with a photo gallery and video content prepared by the very authoress as well as Polish book critics.
Owing to implementation of an in-app purchase solution to sell books at App Store, any item may be purchased by a single click and downloaded within minutes. It is the first of a series of books entitled “New Horizons” which is to feature world-class literature of fact. By the year end, two other iPad-optimized books of the series are to hit the market.
